A family Company

Alphacom Italia is a leading family-owned Company, specialized in the production of salads for the Fresh-cut Industry.

The Company has set new targets for the future in the development of fresh products for the fresh-cut processors.

With 420 hectares of greenhouses and 300 hectares of open field production we can take care of every single step: seed selection, growing, quality control, vacuum cooling and a professional transport service.

We Grow

Our history started in 1996 with 40 ha of greenhouses in Bergamo, Alphacom Italia constantly increased its farms surfaces.

A good part of this enlargement impacted mainly on the owned farms in the area of Salerno, south of Italy.
Today Alphacom Italia spreads the risk of its main production – baby leaf – on 420 ha of greenhouses between North and South of Italy.

We start 40 ha greenhouse production in North Italy (Bergamo). We open a processors site in order to wash and pack the baby leaves.

We open Natura.com, italian fresh salad processor.

2002
Opening of Alphacom Italia as an export company for our baby leaves farms. Alphacom Italia and Natura.com jointly start a baby leaf business in the area of Salerno.

2006
Alphacom Italia starts selling directly without agents, and explores a new supply area in the North East of Italy (Chioggia).

2009
We build a 17 ha Farm in South Italy (Mobi – Battipaglia, Salerno), for winter baby leaves production. The total greenhouse area in Salerno becomes 90 ha.

2012
Alphacom Italia opens a new farm of 30 hectares in the south of Italy (Padula Farm – Eboli, Salerno). The total indoor surface managed by Alphacom is now of 120 ha.

2015
We add 11 hectares of greenhouses to the surface of Mobi Farm (Battipaglia, South), reaching a total of 28 Ha for the baby leaves growing.

2016
Opening of two new cultivation sites. A new company of 18 Hectares dedicated to lamb’s lettuce is purchased in the north of Italy (Laghetti - Bergamo), bringing the total owned surface in the North to 42 ha. RBio is founded in the South (Eboli, Salerno) with 15 ha of greenhouses for the organic baby leaves production.

2017
We start a new project for the growing of teen and savoy spinach both in greenhouse and open field. To spread the risk we split the production in 3 different Italian regions.

2018
Alphacom Italia begins the construction of 2 new refrigerated warehouses: one in the North of Italy, Martinengo (Bergamo) and one in the South of Italy, Eboli (Salerno)

2019
The 2 new chilled warehouses in North and South are complete. Alphacom can now count on a total of 10.000 square meters with new vacuum coolers and 2 optical sorters.

2021
In the South, the total owned greenhouse surface amounts to 78 ha of conventional (28 Mobi, 50 Padula) and 20 ha of organic. The organic farm RBio will cover 37 ha in October 2020. The total production of our farm Cascina Alta, in the north, will become organic (14 ha).

TODAY
2022: Alphacom begins the production of aromatic herbs
thyme, rosemary, sage, basil, curly parsley and smooth parsley.

2023: in the south, Alphacom buys an innovative aromatic line for washing its crates.
